Yes, there are definitely exceptions to that rule. This rule is specifically for the 9 yr old who puts at item in the laundry after trying it on, then deciding she’s not going to wear it. Um, hang it back up, kid.
oh i agree. my 8 year old will change pants 3 or 4 times a day. one weekend i washed 18 pairs of pants, but only 2 underwear. apparently those you can use 3 days in a row. eew.

Or the 9 yr old who gathers up the clothes that have fallen off the hangers and stuffs them in the hamper.
